Question Spindle Control for Sieg 2.7

    Hi all, first post here.

I am having the hardest time finding a solution for controlling the spindle on my Little Machine Shop 6500 (Sieg 2.7) that I am converting to CNC. LMS offers controllers for every other machine but not the 6500/2.7 series. I’d rather not replace the spindle as the machine is new and the 1hp should do ok for a bit anyway.

I’ve read a few posts where people have similar issues, but no real solutions.

Did I just buy the wrong mill? I went for the 2.7 because I wanted to add the priest power drawbar to it and liked the beefier construction.

Thanks in advance for any ideas

I didn’t unfortunately. I’ve been setting my programs to stop whenever I need to change speeds, and do it manually. It’s not sleek but it’s been working.

You're not buying wrong, you're just buying the old model that hasn't been improved by the new method.

    getting over it
