Bridgeport head, ram & turret removal as ONE UNIT?

    Hi,
I would like to remove the head, ram, and turret off of my Bridgeport series 1 machine as one unit.
Can this assembly be lifted by hooking into the eye bolt? I realize I may have to adjust the position of the ram to achieve a balance point at the eye bolt.

Yes, just don't drop the retaining ring that the turret bolts into.

I like to use lifting straps, but the eye bolt will work OK. It's really not difficult to remove the head from the ram, just the 4 nuts on the front.
