I have parts to cut out (I made a quick diagram attached) and I'm not sure how to approach the corner sticking out at a diagonal to the wood grain direction. I'm cutting in oak right now which is maybe the worst in terms of grain splitting but I also get the problem in walnut.
It breaks a triangle off the end about 25% of the time.
I'm climbing milling and slowing down from 140ipm to 35ipm around the corner with an 1/8th inch depth of cut, honestly I'm not sure what else I could try.
Wondering if anyone has experience with this type of shape.
Thanks!
