    Question power supply

Years ago I got a cheap SMC1800-50V-33A power supply. The power supply has an output of 50.5V. My CL57T controllers (3 pieces) are designed for 24-48v.
Will 2.5v more be too much for my controllers?

    Yes.
Does your supply have a little adjusting screw to lower it a little?.
    If not:
    Either change to CL86 drivers
    Or
Get a new supply such as:

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...25617994%22%7D
There are loads of different options on the site. I have 80v, 60v, & 36v supplies from there.

Mind you. Do you really need as much as 33A for 3 drivers?.
You'd still be extremely comfortable with 48v 1000w.
In which case I would find one of the adjustable voltage units in your input range and run it at 45v.:

    Re: power supply

I found a trimmer on the front panel and will try to lower the tension. I got this power supply years ago for little money. Back then, the prices of power supplies with such power were expensive. I also need to train my cnc because I have some work to do and the wait from China takes me too long.

Unfortunately, the trimmer drops the voltage only to 49.96V.

    Re: power supply

    I have already ordered via ebay 48v 10.4A for € 64.68. I already have the same. I will connect 2 CL57T controllers to each, and another CL57T and Leadshine DM556 to the other. For XYZ axis I have Nema 24 stepper motors 24HS40-5004D-E1000 4Nm 5A, for 4 axis so I have Nema 23 , 24H290-42-4 3Nm 4.2A
