    Building Heavy duty CNC router

    Hey guys,

I'm Joe, a Mechatronics and Software engineer,

I have a Wood product that requires a CNC router, the new machine in the market starts from 30,000 USD
I have found a non-completed machine build, and I wonder if it make sense to purchase and complete it,

    the non-completed machine specs are:

    1. Steel frame (4000 KG weight)
    2. Spindle 7.5 kw with auto tool change
    3. Servo 1.3 KW for X and Y axis
    4. Servo 1 KW with Break, for Z axis
    5. All electronics included
    6. All the machine rails / racks are rusted!
    7. The Servos mounting is done in a hacky way!
    8. All the above parts are made in China

The price for this non-completed build is 10,000 USD

I have attached a video and some screenshots,

I thank you in advance and appreciate your responses,

    Best,
    Joe

No; keep your money. You'd be better off starting from scratch. The electronics aren't likely to be any better than the rusty rails. There's probably a good reason this thing never worked in the first place, and that was before it was left out in the rain.

For $10K I would pass, I would think about it at maybe $500 or so.

    No.
Ask why it was never completed.
