upgrading software from 4.03 to 4.04

    Hi all
we were trying to upgrade from 4.03 to 4.04 but when we copy the ini file to 4.04 all the default parameters didnt change.
should we just copy manuel all parameters or there is simple solution?

then please let me know how can we save firmware from the board before we do firmware update?

we would like to test new firm ware for laser machine but not sure it will work properly -so incase the firmwarewont be good we would like to return to old firmware.

please let me know if anyone here use the edding cnc for laser machine?
we are trying to solve the corner power issue with new firmware

    thanks in advance
    Oren

Re: upgrading software from 4.03 to 4.04

I’m afraid you didn’t read the infos on the EdingCNC.com site before you downloaded the V4.04!

It’s important to understand this before continuing to downloading the software. The most important new changes are:

Split up INI files. The standard CNC.INI file is split up into a number of .ini files:

Server.ini, this files contains static information about your machine, it will only be changed when something is changed in the setup
Variables.ini, this file contains data that due to its volatility is written more often.
    Tools.ini, information about the tools
    Service.ini, service related information.
