It's a very restricted machine... slow rapids, slow toolchanges, not a high RPM spindle. It really is old tech.

OK, it is the extended bed version, so it'll take a 4th axis on R/H side
I hope you have lots of file space, as it is needed if using code from a CAM system.

Check also that you can do a 3 axis arc move. The one I used could not.

So, the final part program can be 60kB big.

the check itself is not related to the part program size. MDI mode
    G91 G01 Z5 X5 Y5 F0.1 ; for instance gives you the answer instantly

Also, you can check your OSP Data Management Card. If the "Helical cutting" is marked there?

That is NOT an arc, that's a linear move

it's possible to make an arc composed from many small straight segmets. Here the memory capacity comes to play the role.

    Hi, max
I have tried allot of cam software for my Okuma MC5 VA and came to conclusion that feature cam by autodesk works the best for me.
I don’t know if the fusion 360 extension gives the same results as it is basically the same thing. But as I said I prefer feature cam

I had a 4VAE...used Surfcam on it. That machine is a beast, two speed geared head, box ways.....messy though has it isn't enclosed.
