    Wire rope driving mechanism

    No ball or lead screws.
    No rack and pinion gear.
    No belts.
    No cable chains.
    No linear guides.
    No noise issues.
All of the stepper motors are located in the rear of the machine.
All of the limit switches are located besides the motors.
The gantry is moving free of motors and limit switches.
Just one motor for the X axis is used instead of two motors (1+ slave)
Only 5 meters of shielded cables are used for my 6'x10' plasma machine instead of 50 meters of cables.
    ZERO BACKLASH.

    Hi every body,
I think that it will be better to see the attached videos and photos to clarify the previous introduction.
It is a new generation of the CNC driving mechanism by using my wire rope technique.

Really cool idea and excellent execution.

Is there any problems with twisting of the ropes?

    No problems at all
I have made a modification to the driving mechanism which improves the movement smoothness , I will insert the photos of the upgrade.
