Hey all, I recently upgraded to the Hiteco 4HP spindle, and since then have been using the supplied 20 and 30 mm wrenches that came with it.

However, this weekend I found I couldn't get the collet to loosen off a bit! On closer examination, I found the the (stamped) 20 mm wrench had actually been distorted out of parallel so it would no longer adequately grip the shaft. (see attached picture). End was around 24mm.

To be sure, the collet on was on a little tight, and I had to put some "liquid wrench" on it to get it loose anyways.

I was able to restore the wrench by squeezing it in a vise to get it back to where it would work. But now I'm concerned this will just happen again.

For now, I've ordered "thin" 20 mm wrench from amazon, I'm hoping it's just a matter of those stamped wrenches not being as strong as regular ones (and of course, normal wrenches are too thick to use).

So the question is, does anyone have a preferred brand of wrenches (both 20 and 30 mm) that will be long lasting?

Thanks.
