Hi,

My Hurco VMX30 just refused to startup this fine morning. It is giving me this error on the screen

ATC ERROR!!
SPINDLE CLAMP INPUT NOT DETECTED.
ENTER "ATC AND MACHINE DIAGNOSTICS" TO CLEAR ERROR

The touch screen on the Ultimax4 console is not taking any inputs. In the wiring cabinet the 1A fuse #12 and 13 are found blown up. I replaced the fuses with new ones and they got blown up the next time I powered up the machine. I have no idea which peripherals are in line with these fuses. Perhaps a wiring diagram could help. Any suggestions on which components to look for the malfunction.

I checked that there are 120 Volts across the blown up fuses. Some device is shorting the circuit perhaps. The wiring diagram would tell which device that could be.

Found from the drawings that F12 and F13 are for spindle head fans. So the problem is somewhere else. Let me dig deeper into drawings.

Guess what. I switched on the machine this morning and it started working. Have many deadlines to meet, so I'll leave the head scratching to a later day on what was the cause of this. Any suggestions are still welcome.
