    HAAS VF2 spindle drive problem

    Hi folks. My 1997 VF2 just started throwing a spindle error and shutting down after it runs for a while. The load meter is reading high when its running clockwise but is fine in reverse. I'm thinking that maybe the encoder is worn out and is giving the drive fluctuating readings forcing the drive to constantly fight to keep the speed steady which is making it overheat and then shut down.

    Any ideas?

    It could be the mechanical stuck problem.
