    Opening SW part in MC

    Hello All,

    I have Mastercam 2021 and Solidworks 2021. For some reason I cannot open a SW 2021 solid part in my version of Mastercam. I opened some older SW part files but I can't get Mastercam to open anything new. has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution?

    Yes, I had that issue. I went into the configuration and had to set it to open Solid Models in there. No more issues.

    Are you running the release version of Mastercam 2021. you may need to do an update as Mastercam may have been released before the SW 2021 version so the support was not there.
    I cannot remember how we did that on that release. There are 3 updates to MC2021 so you know.
