Hello Gents
could some one help me to solve this problem please
when press auto button on screen it give (RMT) instead of (MEM)
and the led on the button flashing
controller is 21i milling machine all other modes working fine except the auto
please if any one has some idea where to start from to check and solve this

What are the odds that you can post your ladder file?

we never touch the ladder files
the machine lost parameters due to lack of battery and got them back to machine
every thing is working fine but the operator tried to get program from memory card while the card was not inserted in the slot after that when he press AUTO mode the screen displays RMT instead of MEM

It sounds like he has inadvertently pressed the wrong button and tried to DNC Set a program. RMT mode is for running programs from Memory card / RS232 . See if there is a soft key called DNC Clear ? or reselect a program in CNC memory as the main program .

Possibly a changed keep relay that didnt get documented.
G43.5 in the ladder is what sets DNC mode. Start there and see if what is turning it on.

Another area is the software operators panel or General Purpose switch's to set DNC mode. Navigation to these can be found in the Fanuc operators manual.

The last item that comes to mind is an option. If DNC is an option on the 21 its possibe the option was turned off and not documented. Then reloading parameters turned it back on.

All of these areas would be connected to reloading the NC/PC parameters.

If you can post the ladder file I can tell you why RMT pops up instead of AUTO. Otherwise we are just guessing.
