I built My CNC From David Steels Plans Now I need Feedrate help please
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this thread so sorry to the mod. if it is not...
I Made My CNC From David Steels Plans and now I need some help with the feed rate.
I upped the size of my router to a 2-1/4 HP PORTER CABLE 892 ROUTER. After hours of searching I now know the chipload formula and other chipload details, but I still don't understand how it applies to my CNC.
What I am wanting to know the most is how to figure the depth of each pass and the feed rate relative to my HP and RPM.
As I said before I have a veritable speed (10,000 23,000 RPM) 2-1/4 HP Porter Cable Router.
I'm am looking to do wood, plastic, HDU and possibly Aluminum.
I have done many little projects and signs with this table already, I keep breaking bits and burning them up at times.
Also the top IPM I can get out of this table is only 35 IPM.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
Justin!!!
