Hello, I have a Fanuc 21-mb machine and I need to disable the 4th axis - (A)
I already tried to change the parameter 9900 - the machine does not allow to change, asks to restart it, does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I think setting parameter 12.7 and 1005.7 to 1 for the A axis will do what you want.

Are the Z and A axis on a common / dual axis drive?
If they are what is the drive part number?
There may be another parameter involved in case of dual drive.

I'm facing a 4th axis alarm issue, but since we don't use this axis, I need to get the machine up and running. Could anyone please advise me on how to disable it?

Hello a_v_c

PN 1010 controls the No. of axis Controlled by CNC. So if you need to Disable 4th Axis , put ( Existing Value - 1) in this Para.

If you need to Disable any axis in Between you need to modify PN 1010 / 1020 / 1023 accordingly.
