a quick way to look for your USB Com port is in Windows Device Manager is ....Hold down the "Windows Key" on your keyboard then hit "R". then type "devmgmt.msc" and hit Enter or click OK

I'm wondering how to set the tool and work offsets?? I haven't used Fanuc before, I think this is the right area on the machine for work and tool offsets but not sure on the procedure.

So i kind of gave up on the tool changer and just wanted to load a program and this is where i am now. If I can just get the program loaded ill be happy.
...Dear Happy Camper you mentioned you had the Parameters on a FD....was there any other Files on the FD that might be for Tool Changer? I'm not a Fanuc guy but, I do recall something about 9000 Programs/Marcos are used. These would be written by the MTB to interface M Codes etc needed. Start a new thread maybe for TC problem.

Yes i have it on floppy.
Im not sure about the 9000 parameters.
Yes good idea, ill start another 2 threads come to think of it. One for ATC and one for work and tool offsets for Fanuc as its a little different from HAAS which is simpler and what I'm used to. HAAS is literally one button for "tool offset measure" and another button for "origin"

    ReNumbering Program

...its a problem with your Post Processor looks like.... need to delete the (Parentheses) around the program number. The Control (I think) ignored that Line (O1000) and assigned O0001 to the file after Inputting from the PC. I was reading about in Chapter 8.4
    http://servicetex.ru/wp-content/uplo...0%BA%D0%B0.PDF

    snip:
When a program is entered without specifying a program number.
? The O–number of the program on the NC tape is assigned to the
program. If the program has no O–number, the N–number in the first
block is assigned to the program.
? When the program has neither an O–number nor N–number, the
previous program number is incremented by one and the result is
    assigned to the program.
When a program is entered with a program number
The O–number on the NC tape is ignored and the specified number is
assigned to the program. When the program is followed by additional
programs, the first additional program is given the program number.
Additional program numbers are calculated by adding one to the last
    program.

Re: Fanuc O-M Leadwell CNC mill 086 P/S alarm

    Just an update
I've been busy and side tracked as my car broke down but that's another long story :boxing:
So the programs are loading fine and the machine is working (Minus the ATC) i realised the spindle is getting hot and i suspected the oil pump wasn't working and it certainly wasn't. I pulled the pump motor out and directly connected it to 240 volts and the shaft hardly turned, looks like gears are stripped.
Just wondering where i could buy this motor or should i just buy the whole pump with container assembly????
