I have bought my first ever machine from China.
on the spindle motor, it's written that it is a5.5Kw and 16 Amp motor. it is 220v single phase.
i highly doubt these figures.
can anyone tell me how much electricity this machine will consume?

What is the Voltage supply and is it 3Ph or Single-Phase supply??

That would be a little low for a 5.5Kw I would say it should be closer to 22A and you will need at least a 45A 240v supply to run it and your machine, a 50A 240v single phase supply would be better

So, when you only have single phase supply unless you have the Amperage, you should buy a smaller spindle to suit your power supply and Amps, the VFD Drive also has to have an input Amp rating to suit this as well or it will fail
