    Sodick system files help

We have 2 Sodick wire cutters 1 x A280 and 1 x 812 (BF275) . We have had a problem with the system files on the floppies now being unreadable on the machines. We do have the files on our windows PC however.
The problem being is that no matter what I have tried, (formats etc) on blank disks , writing back to the new floppies is no problem and seem identical to the backed up files on the PC, the sodick just refuses to read them.User discs are not a problem
The floppy drives on the Sodicks are not the problem. I have "been" there before and know they are fine. The problem lies probably? in the file structure written back to the new floppies. I have tried images and different utilities to make it work but can't.
It might be something to do with the write speed for the drives.
An obvious solution might be to make copies from the Sodick machine itself but if we can't start the machine and don't have a working disk to copy I'm screwed .
It might be possible to run a disk from another Sodick but I think our files hold parameter info specifically to our machines. Another way is if someone who has been able to do this is to use our backed up system files and turn them into useful floppies.
We would gladly pay for them.

Another plan of attack is to change the drives for the usb converter which I think will work on the A280 with the fd1137d drives and use our PC files to the stick. The 812 is another story as the fd1135d drives should work with an HxC Floppy Emulator BUT
needs a VFO board as well. I don't have a problem going that way in the future but for now I just want the damn things running so the floppy route is ok for now.

    Not familiar with Sodick.

    How old are your machines?

What format disc do they require?

Some older machines will not read the "new" 1.44 MB floppy discs.

Have you tried formatting them as 720 KB discs?

If you can still read the original floppies on your PC try this ...

Instead of copying the files, image the diskette and then copy the image back to a new floppy.

Good morning, I am in the same situation, the original diskette reads it to me, but I cannot copy them, I wanted to know what solution you gave to the machines, and if you were able to copy the loading diskettes. thank you

    Re: Sodick system files help

Someone was able to copy the boot disks of the sodick 530. My copies are no longer useful, I have the original diskettes but I don't want to spend them, and I have no way to copy them since I tried everything and it doesn't read them. Has anyone been able to copy the floppies? Do you know what format they take? Thanks you!!

    Hi

I have the Original Floppy A500 disks, System, System 2.1, System 2.2 and USER disk. but, I need to create a image from the disk, I bought a USB floppy emulator and I want to use it, But I can't copy them, I tried with WinImage and floppy Imaging. the only disk that I made a Image is the USER DISK, because is a 720 KB format.

How do you made an image of the system Disks?
