    Fanuc Q Setter enable parameters

Hello, I recently purchased a 2006 Hyundai lathe with a Q setter, Fanuc controlled. The previous shop never used setters so apparently it's be disabled. I assume this is done through a parameter setting, but I've had zero luck figuring out how to turn it back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Mori/Fanuc lathe. Do you have a PSM or PST button on your control panel? PSM is a center square with for small rectangles spaced around it. The PST is a circle with two vectors crossing thru it.

It could very well be a parameter, but if I didn't have the books for my machine, I would nave never figured out that one of those two buttons turned on the tool setter.

If it is a parameter, I'm sure the good Dr should be able to help you there.

Yes. Is there a specific parameter #/page I need to post? I'm new to Fanucs "ladder" system.

I've finally navigated to the Q-Setter Ladder and it says "Off". How do I go about turning it on? Thanks, Dan

Re: Fanuc Q Setter enable parameters

look for a "Y" adress of the Q-Setter,that will be the condition for making work
the "X"" adress is only the sensor confirmation of the arm if it is up or down
for moving conditions of the arm you need to find in the ladder the equation that will end with "Y"
