    Kitamura H400 EX05 THERMAL ALARM

Our Kitamura Mycenter H400 with FANUC 15-M controls has developed an intermittent problem where during a tool change the arm will rotate, change the tools, and on its way back to the home position it seems to over travel and start coming back down. When it over travels past the home position it hits / blocks the ATC door and alarms out with a EX05 THERMAL ALARM...

Since this is a high priority machine we have been running it while doing manual tool changes to get through the work and it has been running fine.

We would love to get this machine back up and running so any advice or information would be greatly appreciated, Thank you!

Of course, the cables that go into the tool changing arm are old and some of them are in very poor contact because they are broken. remove the protective sheets and carefully inspect the cable by cable.
