Red face fanuc 6M -the start key does not works

    Hello
    We have Beaver VC15 CNC machine with Fanuc 6M - Model B - series M97 - Version 03 controller.
Please help us about these problems:
1-Some times after we turn on the machine, in MDI mode we can not start it.(the start key does not works) (For going to reference point)
2-After going to the reference point in most of times when we start a program the buffer character appears (in LSK) and the yellow curser located in the first line and mashie does not move.
3-Some times we can start the program with 10-120 seconds delay.

When you do press CYCLE START, does the "In-Cycle" light come on and stay on, or does it blink on and then go off again? If the In-Cycle light stays on, that means that the control is waiting for something to be finished before it can continue. When that happens, press the DGNOS button to show the diagnostics, and page up to Diagnostic #700. Tell us what "bit" is a "1", and we can help you further. Diagnostic 700 tells you what the control is waiting for. Each bit stands for the following:

bit 0 (far right): M, S, or T code is being executed (T-command not finished)
bit 1 : The control is trying to move
bit 2 : A dwell command is being executed
bit 3 : In-position check is being executed (control moved but servo is not in-position.
bit 4 : Feedrate override is at 0%
bit 5 : The STLK interlock signal is on (servo's can't move)
bit 6 : The control is waiting for the spindle to come up to speed.

If the In-Cycle light does not come on at all, that might be that the machine tool builder has wired in some kind of safety interlock which would prevent you from starting. For example:

    1) Do you have enough air pressure?
    2) Is the lube tank on the way lube system low on oil?
    3) Is the tool changer arm or mechanism completely clear of the Z axis?
    4) Is there a pressure switch on the drawbar circuit to ensure that the tool is secure?
    5) Do you have any door open/close switches that need to be closed (or jumpered out)?
    6) Is there any other safety-related situation that might prevent you from starting?
