We have a Bridgeport VMC 1000 and we are replacing the spindle motor.
Our Motor is a Siemens 1PH6135-4NF49-Z. the name plate on the motor says it has a RON 350 2048 encoder
The replacement motor we found has the same part number but it has a different Encoder ERN1387 2048.

For sure the 2048 is the resolution. I can`t just switch the encoders because the Ron Encoder has a Female
drive while the ERN encoder has a male drive. Do not wish to make an adaptor since this would require the cooling fan
seating to be modified.

The RON350 is fitted on an Analogue Dive so I assume its analog but I do not know why the same motor with different
Encoders. I have looked everywhere and got hold of a ERN Encoder datasheet but not the RON datasheet.

Anybody can assist me please.

IIRC the ERN series has a 1v peak to peak sine wave output, the RON series is 5v square wave out, so you would need to convert it .
You could also contact Heidenhain for the info on the RON 350 2048 to be sure.
