Mori Seiki NZX2000 Twin Turret mill on sub-spindle

    Hello,

Forgive me for being new here...

I am trying to help a co-worker troubleshoot his program. Here are the stats:
    Machine: Mori NZX2000 800SY (FANUC)
Hand assembled G-code from MCAM (lack proper posts)
Attempting to mill on 2nd spindle with Turrret 1. He needs to mill c-bores off center utilizing the y-axis on the upper turret.

    Questions:
    1) Does the tool get touched off to the main spindle presetter or the sub?
    2) Does the code go in the "main" (1st spindle) program or the "sub" (2nd spindle) program? (right now it's in the "main")
    3) When we put in a M245 in the program the machine just "hangs" with no alarm (i.e. waits for ???). What is it waiting for? Some sort of sync signal?

    Here's the code in question:

    (M5_ FEATURES)
    N5
    (ROUGH / FINISH .355 COUNTERBORE)
    ( 3/16 FLAT ENDMILL)
    G0G18M46

    G28U0
    G28V0W0
    G55
    M245
    G98T3636M8
    M69
    G28H0.
    G0C90.
    M68
    G97S4000M13
    ()
    G0Z.3242
    G0X.9697Y.8122
    G1X.9688Y.8178Z.3318F10.
    X.9678Y.8213Z.3406
    X.9668Y.8225Z.35
    Etc...

For those interested, your upper turret is controlled by the G-code in the "main" program and the lower turret is controlled by the G-code in the "sub" or second program. All tools are touched off using the tool presetter respective to the spindle being used regardless of which program controls them.

We have a 3 turret Mori Seiki NZX1500 with 2 spindles, and we are running into the same issues.

Did anyone ever solve this? Turret 2 will turn the M45/M46 (c axis connection) off and on fine for spindle one, but will not turn on M245 (c axis connection #2) for spindle 2. It just sits there and eventually times out. Turret 3 will run M245/M246 fine, but head 2 controls the sub spindle, so we kind of need it to complete the connection. We have tried a bunch of different wait codes in the program trying to get around this, but none have worked.

Does this sound like a machine issue (prox switch/sensor?)
