TNG crash problem with radius correction G41 / G42

    Hi there,

At least since the last 12/08 version, TNG crashes directly when opening a file if it contains ray correction calls with elements that are not tangent to each other.
Copying content from this type of file into the editor causes the same problem when uploading.

We can therefore no longer make, for example, a square with sharp angles.

Could the developers in a future version correct this problem :-)?

    best regards

I found the origin of the crash.

When you open a program containing G41-G42 calls and containing radius smaller than those possible for the tool declared in the tool table, the software crashes directly.
In my example, tool 1 in the table has a Ø10 in the tool table. The program is designed to use a cutter with a Ø8. So opening the file triggers a crash.

If tool 1 in the tool table has a Ø8, you can open the file. If you change the tool diameter to 10, TNG displays a radius compensation error message but does not crash.

Try it out with my example to see what the problem is.

This problem is fixed in latest version. You can get it here:

When are we going to see this version publicly available on the web page?

Everything is ready to be published. You can safely use this version.

However this week we are little underpowered in support department. I don't want to publish it this week in case something goes wrong.

Sembrerebbe che l'approccio e/o lo svincolo in G40 generi un movimento inferiore al raggio utensile reale D10 ma calcolato in origine ad un D8per il quale era invece sufficente.

    Good evening,

thank you for your responsiveness (as so often).

I will test it soon :-).

I have a post about building a lathe, I will soon be done with the mechanical part, I only have one modification left to fit a SAUTER 8 position turret.
I have a few questions, including tool management associated with radius corrections. I will come back to the tower construction post to ask you about them.

For TRULL, yes indeed and this is what caused the software to crash if the program is opened with an already existing tool table and containing a tool incompatible with radius corrections.

    Best regards
