    Gear hobbing!

    Hi!
I want to do gear hobbing and wonder if there is a possibility to do synchronization of two axis in CNCUSB or TNG? Using signals from encoder on each axis.

    Regards
    Gunnar

Axes are synchronized between each other. There is no need for second encoder.
Gear hobbing is very similar to threading. Unless I'm missing something it should work fine.

This is now a question on PM.
The question is the feed rate in x,y,z,u synched to spindle encoder? If the spindle bogs at all the axis need to stay in exact timing. E-gearing is another term used for this sync. Concept is very close to threading cycle.
