Hey all,

I am looking for a little help. I have a Mori-Seiki SL1A that I picked up to start CNC turning. It has the yasnac LX-1 control. I have worked on this thing for quite a while trying to get it communicating with a DNC box. Steps taken thus far:

- I have looked through and made sure the parameters on the machine are in line with the transfer protocol(baud rate, stop bits, interface etc.)

- I have made sure the cable was wired correctly

- I have traced the wires back to the 50 pin header and rang them out for continuity.

- To rule out the box and cable, I tested the box and cable on a buddy's SL-0 with the yasnac LX1 and it transferred perfectly.

- I have a rs232 tester with LEDs on it to see which ones are present and accounted for. Pin 2 is lit up, pin 3 is dark, pin 4,5,6,8 and 20 are lit up. Picture below.

It seems my next step is to go after offending components on the CCA. Is there a piece on the circuit board that typically goes out that I can fix?

Thanks for your help
