Has anyone tried cutting Carbon Fiber?

    I'm getting a LG900 60watt laser.
I was wondering has anyone tried cutting carbon fiber with one of these.
We sometimes have to cut .375" carbon fiber sheets into small parts?

    Thanks
    A+

I know it's been done, but with a more powerful laser (200 watts) and with nitrogen assist instead of air. With just air the edges will be badly charred.

I always say get a scrap and try it before accepting a job.

Sorry, I don't know if CO2 would work, just that nitrogen does.
