    Question Highlighted data

Hey guys! I,m runnin Mazak 510C matrix fusion, also quickturn with same control.

I sometimes get crazy cutting speeds from the autoset in the process data. It comes in highlighted in orange. What does this highlighted data mean?

    Thanks

It usually is a cautionary measure to let you know that the original cut data has been altered. You would have to go into the cutting conditions page to verify that it is the correct feeds and speeds for that particular insert grade and material to be cut.

agree its a cautionary measure yellow normally is when the machine autosets its and orange highlights itwhen you have made a change to it. on one of our mazaks when you change it the color actually goes away.

Actually the color signifies that the control has changed the default cutting conditions based on your use of the VFC button using the learning function to fine tune the auto set speed and feed.

    Thanks guys!

This I did not know! I thought the VFC function only changed the program running at the time, not future programming.

After some prowling I noted the Cutting condition learning page has several unlocked tooling and material combos.

    Thanks again
