I am experiencing a problem with my toolchanger height. During toolchange Z axis goes to position that is too low and tool arm hits the spindle housing. This happened once yesterday after startup and calibration. I performed toochanger reset manually and it worked correctly after that. Today again it is hitting the spindle housing. After resetting and recalibrating machine, it goes to the wrong position. When I go into toolchange troubleshooting the machine shows it is a t toolchange height when it isn't.

Is your axis motor to ballscrew coupling slipping or broken ? Losing position during movement.

Hi, thanks for responding. I was able to talk with a HURCO service rep who put me on the right track when he told me to check for a sticking Z Axis limit switch. It was easily accessible, and I was able to spray some WD40 on it and free it up. All is good now.
