    Best method for cutting down delrin?

    So I have some 12x12 acetal plate, whats the best way to cut this into 3" sections?

    I would use a wood table saw or skilsaw with a guide clamped to the plastic plate to get straight cuts.

    Sawing Plastic

    As long as it is sharp, it will cut it! We use a carbide toothed blade with great results!

    awesome thanks guys. was worried about # of teeth etc. will have to go pick up a new blade to cut these down while waiting on my HF X3.

    Get what is called a Triple Chip blade. It will be labelled for cutting plastic and nonferrous metals.

    It is possible to cut Delrin with a sharp wood blade but you get a much smoother cut with less blade vibration using the triple chip blade.
