    Gantry design???

First this is a rough sketch and I am just learning acad. The measurements are close though. Red boxes are bearings, Blue boxes are mounting plates that mount bearing to gantry, Green is table top.

I have seen this discussion here before but I just can not find it again. Which design do you think would be better. Design A would seem best to me with the tool and weight kind of centered. Although after putting it to paper I began to wonder. The B design has the Y axis rails more to the center of the gantry bearing. I guess my question where is the force and where should it be?

    Thanks

    The way I see it:
The weight (of everything the gantry supports) will be more evenly distributed on the bearings using design A. The position of the Y rails do not matter as much as the center of the weight.
