Precision Matthews PM-940 CNC Conversion Parts

I was planning to convert a PM-940V to CNC but plans have changed. Now up for grabs is a Arizona CNC Kits heavy duty PM-940 ball-screw conversion with 1/2" shaft stepper/servo mounts. $1000 for everything that was included in the kit. Also have the following clearpath parts from Teknic, $3000 for this package OBO. Was planning to go 4-axis with this but can lower the price for only 3 motors. Also have a few odds and ends like enclosure box and controller, etc. PM for more details. Everything is brand new, not even opened from the original shipping boxes.

The CNC kit price seems very good.

    Hi Quada,

I’m an engineer with Teknic and came across your post. As a reminder, ClearPath and components have a 90 day money-back refund period. (You can place an RMA for refund with a couple of clicks on your webstore account).

For users looking to purchase the kit, I wanted to point out a couple of things:

    • The ClearLink is an EtherNet/IP Step and direction controller but does not include specific functionality for CNC. This is used with an EtherNet/IP scanner, typically an EtherNet/IP PLC, such as an Allen Bradley Rockwell PLC.
    • For the ClearPath components, if you’re using the POWER4-HUB, you’ll also need:
o PC-SBR-72 (DC Power Cable from IPC Power Supply to Power4-Hub)
    o CPM-CABLE-M2P2P-120 (24 VDC Power Supply Cable)
    • You need a micro USB cable designed for data communication (make sure it’s not just a charging cable).
