Working with EMC2 to refit an old NC control on a SIP Jig Grinder. The drives and motors are DC analog. The machine has A Quad B type scales. I am using a Motenc-Lite servo board. Planning on using an external PLC for basic machine functions such as waylube, coolant and the like. Would like to use classic ladder for some of the I/O functions and to keep an eye on the plc. Can't get classicladder to load for some reason. I am both a Linux and EMC newbie but I have extensive CNC control experience. Would also like to interface a human interface to this thing (push buttons)......any help would be appreciated. We were going to scrap this machine but decided to try out EMC before we attempted it on big iron (I MEAN BIG!). Anyone know how to tie in an MPG unit to this? I saw where someone did through the Parallel Port of the pc. Again, Any help would be great.....
