    Hi Gabedrummin,

Below is my DM3000, it would be great to know both the distances with Tailstock and without.
Can those information be found in the Dynamyte 3000 Manual 1 and 2 or Service manual?

It will travel to the right until the carriage hit's the limit on the back side of the bed . It will travel z- till it crashes into the chuck if you don't stop it . So the limit switch on the back is adjustable so you can adjust the home position .The length of z travel is between those two points.
