    DELTA VFD-B

Hi we have 2 Yimmings chinese Syntec CNC machines in our shop the issue we have is getting the RPM past 12000 we have HSD spindle everything is wired correctly according to HSD. So I have a Delta VFD-B the label says 0-400 HZ we had a tech look at it he said we are only getting 5volts coming from the controller and he says he can put something on there to make it 10volts and I will be able to get the speed faster so if anyone knows about this please reply I hate to ruin the machine.

Read the frequency at highest speed on the VFD. VFD can be programmed to work from 0 to 5 volts and 0 to 10 volts which is more common. If your voltage is 5 volts and the frequency says 200 hertz then it can probably be fixed. If thfrequency show 400 hz at 5 volts then that is your max. Also review your spindle model number some have max speed of 12000

I will check in the morning but I believe its says 400hz at 5 volts also the hsd spindle is 400hz 24000 I went threw all this with HSD and send pictures and everything is good on that end. I thought it wasn't getting the volts but there is a 380 transformer that is in the control panel and everything is ok. I found a parameter for the syntec controller that I am going to check tomorrow that may change the 5 volts to 10.

Yes, the 0-10v Analog supply has to come from your control.

Is your spindle motor 2Pole or 4Pole.

The spindle is a 4 pole 380volt . I believe everything that need changed is in the Syntec controller at 400hz it’s only getting 5volts. I changed the VFD to 800hz but I don’t know where to test the volts my tech did the testing last time but it doesn’t sound like my shop Sabre when it spins 18000 and they are the same spindles

The control would have to be set to 800Hz also. to check the 0-10v output these will be the wires going to the VFD Drive Terminal AVI / ACM follow these 2 wires back to the control and you will then know were the 0-10v is coming from

Parameters in the VFD that need to be set / Checked

    01-00=800
    01-01=800
    01-05=100 (120 Spindle Minimum Speed)
    02-15=800
