1.7Ax3=5.1A at the spindle 8.8A at the supply.

You did not say what spindle you have; it sounds like your Parameters are not set correctly.

How many Amps is your AC supply??

Run by the keypad on the front of the inverter no problems other than I wanted to slow it down because I believe it was running too fast for the surfacing blade i had on it. I was checking settings and the VI VR pin that you move the jumper on to change from the keypad operation to the Mach 3 software operation That is when i could not get it to work properly at this time it is shorted across the VR pins

This Parameter PD144 is related to the Max RPM only.

This is the Parameters you need for KeyPad / Pot use.

Pot Control
PD001=0

PD002=1

PD070=1

JI Jumper 2-3=VI Position. You can try either position as some of these drives can be either for Pot use, these Parameters are important as well to make it run also for Pot control

PD003=230 this is what the KeyPad uses for the spindle speed, having it at 230 will only give you just over half max RPM from the Keypad.

PD015=112 Deceleration This is ridiculous, this is giving the spindle 112 seconds to stop most use 3 to 8 seconds

PD144=3000 this needs to be 3000 this unlocks the Drive to give you max RPM of 24,000 RPM

I guess you did a Reset because there is nothing special about these settings, I'm sure if this is working correctly, you are going to have some trouble down the road, you sure you have a genuine HY VFD Drive

John should be not giving people these numbers as they are incorrect

Mactec54 thank you for your help as well. JOHN did not give me incorrect information .I made the mistake of typing the settings in incorrectly. I do not think it is your place to chastise John for helping me. I made the mistake not him and you probably should apologize to him. Everyone here is trying to help each other not belittle one another

I think there are some type errors.

PD003=230 should be 400

PD015=12

PD144 can be 3000 (Max 24000 rpm), If you use PD 144 = 2600, your max speed will be less than 24000 rpm
