    CNC cycle not running

    Hi All,

We had a machine breakdown where we found the I/O Link modules were faulty. We replaced this and also found some shorted wires that we repaired. What happens now is that the cyce start will not work. I see when we press the cycle start it gives a signal G7.2 to the CNC but the machine does not do any thing and no errors.

I also see the output from the CNC F000.5 is not coming on.

Can anyone advise what other signals I may require for the CNC to run its cycle?

G8.5 Is supposed to be on. If it goes off then the CNC Signal resets. I am trying to find out what other signals I need to take a look at.

Given your earlier I/O link issues and wiring short, I would go back over everything, checking every current input and output to the wiring diagrams. I would also check the safety relays and functions, door closed and locked signal, tool and work holding etc,
