    Pacific Scientific R Servo Compatibility

I have a Pacific Scientific R46GENA servo motor for which I need a driver. The specifications are on page 26 here:

Would your driver be appropriate. Is there a chance that I could get a driver with 320 Volt DC bus at 17 Amps? Thank you.

I checked the specs, it would definitely work if it has an encoder. At 200VDC it probably would be limited to somewhere between 1000 and 1300 rpm.

I have some plans about higher voltage drive too (350VDC) but it is really far from realization. Output current limits probably would be similar to VSD-A so it would be capable of outputting about 2-3kW continuously.

No news about higher voltage drive yet. VSD-E is consuming my HW development time currently.

However, I have modified VSD-A for 350V lying around but haven't had time to test it (or a power supply for it).

Hm, I`d be glad to test those 350V drives for you
In mid-January I will refit my CNC mill with its original servomotors (AMK) and their drive system, but I am afraid that I will not be able to reconfigure the drive... (password protection) so I am thinking about selling the stuff on E-bay and fit the servos with VSD-s. but for that I`d need ~20A and 350V (or less with some compromise, but 10A - 180V is not really good)

Well, that is not so simple. The 'proto' may be dangerous since its never been designed for those voltages. It also requires some firmware tweaking to accept new voltage range.
