    Exclamation YL620-H VFD Setup

I just purchased a 110V 2.2 kw water cooled spindle with a YL620-H VFD that uses the P0-00 program format. When I power it up and run the spindle it only turns at about 200-300 RPM for a few seconds then I get ERR10 error which means there is an inverter overload. I think I've set all the parameters correctly but nothing makes any difference. Does anyone know what the correct parameters are for this setup or what might be happening here? Thank you.

Don't run it again or you may see a lot of smoke, it should never run at 200 to 300RPM the minimum speed is 6,000 RPM for the water-cooled spindle, post what you have set, and I will take a look! at what needs to be changed.

Your 120v supply needs to be able to support this size spindle as well or it will fail, normally only a 1.5Kw can run with a 120v supply.

    Re: YL620-H VFD Setup

Thank you for your reply. I figured since I was just running it on a bench with no load, the current draw should be fairly small. I will have to sort out the power situation once I get the rest of the system built nad setup.

Here are the parameters I have:

    P0-01 = 2
    P0-02 = 0
P0-03 = 3 (I have tried 1 as well but it makes no difference)
    P0-04 = 0
    Po-05 = 0
    P0-06 = 100
    P0-07 = 0
    Po-08 = 400
    P0-09 = 0
    P0-10 = 400
    P0-11 = 0
    P0-12 = 400
    P0-13 = 0
    P0-14 = 120
    P0-15 = 6.0
    P0-16 = 0
    P0-17 = 5.0
    P0-18 = 5.0
    P0-19 = 1
    P0-21 = 0
    P0-22 = 1
    P1-00 = 1
P1-01 = 2.2 (I have tried lower settings (1.1) to see if it resolves the problem but it hasn't)
    P1-02 = 110
    P1-03 = 8.5
    P1-04 = 400
    P1-05 = 24000
    P1-10 = 2.92
    P1-37 = 0

Please let me know if there are other parameters that you need. The P1 parameters are ones I set but the others are all as delivered with the unit.
Thank you for your help. I'm ready to box this thing back up and send it back. I'm really hoping you can save me the trouble.

It takes less than 30seconds to damage one of these spindles load or no load just one main Parameter set incorrectly, and the damage will happen.

Just doing a rough check they are Parameters not set correct, I don't have the YL620-H manual so if you can post that VFD Manual PDF I will give you the Parameters that you need, I have some of the other YL620 manuals but there may be some slight differences.

    Don't run it like this.

I have not been able to find a PDF of the manual online but I've made one just of the parameter table. Unfortunately I can't get the file size small enough to upload it here. Is there another way I can get the file to you?

Just the first Parameter page will do starting at P0.00 it may basically be the same as the manuals I have.

You can scan whatever you have and save it as a PDF file.

Here are the first 4 pages of the parameter set. Hopefully these contain what you need.

Nothing attached what file format did you use you can even just post a JPEG or a PNG file photo just the first page of the Parameters, as they may be the same as what I have.

That's odd. I posted JPG files and they show up on my screen. I'll try PNG's.

They may show up at some time but nothing I can see here in either posted attachments, this happens sometimes.

Any thoughts on how we can resolve this? Is there another method I can use to send them to you? Email?

You can use PM here on the Zone, you don't have it setup to have a PM.

Do you know how I can set that up? The normal messaging system doesn't appear to allow attaching files. I'm new to this site so I don't know my way around yet.

A moderator should be able to help you with your setup or why the Photos are not showing, you will have to go through your profile setup to allow PMs

OK. I've got PM working but I still can't attach files to a new message so I really don't know how I can get this info to you. I've tried to find out who the moderator of this forum is so I can contact them to see what's going on but this person doesn't seem to be listed anywhere. I'm sorry to be a nag but I feel you likely have the answer to my problem. I just can't find my way through this website to get you the info you need. Can we do this via email instead?

The failure of the images to be available at CNCZone is a server problem. I don't have a way to fix it, but have provided links to the (4) images at sister site Industry Arena:

From what you have posted this manual appears to be the same, if so I can use this to get you going, you have a lot of the main Parameters set so should not take to much to get it going if this manual matches.

I removed this PDF file as it does not match, I'm trying to get the manual from the manufacture.

Ok looked of your photos try this Parameter change and keep all the Parameters that you have posted the same

P0.11=2 this should give you Pot control

    P0-01 = 2
    P0-02 = 0
P0-03 = 3 (I have tried 1 as well but it makes no difference)
    P0-04 = 0
    Po-05 = 0
    P0-06 = 100
    P0-07 = 0
    Po-08 = 400
    P0-09 = 0
    P0-10 = 400
    P0-11 = 0 Change this to 2
    P0-12 = 400
    P0-13 = 0 Change this to 400
    P0-14 = 120
    P0-15 = 6.0 This can be 8
    P0-16 = 0
    P0-17 = 5.0
    P0-18 = 5.0
    P0-19 = 1
    P0-21 = 0
    P0-22 = 1
    P1-00 = 1
P1-01 = 2.2 this can only be your motor specs no other number can be used
    P1-02 = 110
    P1-03 = 8.5
    P1-04 = 400
    P1-05 = 24000
P1-10 = 2.92 Where did this number come from
    P1-37 = 0

Thank you. I will try these this afternoon. The value for P1-10=2.92 is what was in the machine. I did not change that.
