    Mazak M2 NMI22 NMI23

    Hi there!
    I just bought a VQC20/50- After switching on the machine won´t come up- no hydraulics and so on.
    I´ve seen in other threads that the batterys are down, so I changed them, I also tried the thing with the dip switch.
    I also thin that the parameters are all gone.
    Luckily I do have a paramter list- So I want to change into the paramters page with "F3 and vorward" as the same time.
    But the F-Keys doesn´t work.
    Has anybody an idea? Would be great! :wave:

    Well, first of all, you should put all your DIP switches back to what they were originally if that was the correct setting. Second (my guess is you are not knowledgeable about parameters and ladder, so I go directly to this step), I am not sure if on your model the ladder is on an eprom or in the memory, if it was on memory you will need it from your OEM. You won't be able to use the operator's panel without it, you will only have the NC control panel enabled. Since you have parameter backup load them all back to your machine. Hope that can help.

    I asked the guys from mazak, they told me they will come and then change some circuit boards?
    If so, which one will they change?

    Strange stuff..

    Probably they will put a new memory board with all parameters and plc ladder already loaded into it. That is probably going to solve your problem. Cheers.

    I would not change out hardware just yet.

    You said you replaced the batteries.....have they charged fully to over 3.6V?? There may be more than 1, most likely 2.

    What are the conditions of the LEDs on the cards in the rack?? Do you have the parity LED on?? I think it's "PE". If so, you'll have to clear that first with dip sw 2 (I'm assuming that's what you meant when you said "thing with the dip switch")

    I would not attempt to put any parameters in until the parity light is out.

    Also, your PLC is on ROM chips so you haven't lost any of that.

    Also, what alarms do you have on the alarm page??

    Hi! Thanks for reply!
    The card are as following:
    FX17 = none
    FX06 = none
    FX31 = none (there is one led but it is not on)
    FX01= none (one Led is off, a switch is on 1)
    FX84= none (led BT,PE1,PE2 is on there- but they are off)
    FX27 = BT= on ; PR= off
    FX84-1= BT= off ; PE1 = off; Pe2= off, (on that board are a lot of eproms)
    FX15= AL = off ; IT = blinking, BA = low shining; RDY = on
    FX25= none
    FX53(1) = none
    FX63= none
    FX73 = none

    Tha alarms are:
    Alarm 100 - missing tool datas
    Alarm 22 - check memory paritiy
    alarm 102
    alarm103
    alarm 106 - the last one are for the axis, that they are on end position.

    ALso on the mainscreen the z-axis is on 240%.

    Would be grat if someone could help. Thanks!

    Clear the memory and start again. Try clearing the parity alarm and then typing all parameters.

    If the F3 key doesn't work, there is a way to force it. I don't have that documentation with me at the moment. I will try to find it and post.

    I tried to clear, so I swiched the second dip switch on the fx01 and turned the machine on- turned off and moved back to usual position, switched on again
    but nothing happend.

    Is that correct?

    If you could post how to unlock the F-Keys I would be very happy!
    That machine is a soul destroyer (chair)

    That is correct. Some FX01 boards also have dip switch 1 and 8 in the normal on position, but I think that might be for OKK machines, can't remember. In any case, you need to turn those 2 switches off and then turn #2 on. When you power on, make sure that the memory is cleared and all parameters are zero.

    I won't have access to the documentation I mentioned for about a week and a half, but hopefully you"ll figure it out before then. If not I'll post when I can.

    MAY BE THIS CAN HELP

    AS PER THE LED STATUS IN FX27 BOARD LOOKS LIKE BATTERY IS NOT OK.ALSO CHECK FOR THE JUMPERS X1C 3AND 4 INSERTED

    IN FX01 BOARD THE DIP SWITCHES 1 AND 8 SHOULD BE IN ON POSITION ALWAYS.

    IF YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL PARAMETERS THEN YOU CAN GO FOR MEMORY CLEAR.

    DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FROM FX27 AND FX84 AND WAIT FOR FEW MIN.

    THEN RECONNECT THE BATTERY

    TURN THE DIP SWITCH 2 AND 3 IN THE FX01 BOARD TO ON POSITION

    SWITCH ON THE MACHINE.

    WAIT FOR FEW MIN.

    SWITCH OFF

    PUT THE DIPSWITCH 2 AND 3 TO OFF POSITION.

    TURN ON THE MACHINE.YOU MAY SEE SOME SCRAMBLED PARAMETERS.MAKE THEM ALL ZERO.RE ENTER THE ORIGNAL PARAMETERS.FOR HIDDEN PARAMETERS BY HOLDING THE F3 KEY PRESS THE PAGE SOFT KEY.

    AFTER FINISHING THE ENTERING OF PARAMETERS SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE AND THEN SWITCH ON.

    MAZAK EXPERTS PL CORRECT IF THERE IS ANYTHING MISSING.

    I did it like you told me, also one led is out after clearing the paramters with the dip switch-
    But the F3 key still does not work-
    So I can not get into the hidden parameter site.

    ANybody an idea how to unlock the F-Keys?
    When I start up the control the F-keys are blinking for a short while.
    BUt then they don´t work :/

    I just get a new parameter page, called:
    "common paramter" (I guess it´s called like that)

    There are 80 paramter to fill in- but for that I do not have a parameter list.
    My list is called:
    Match Constant par. no1 -3

    But I cant get to that page.

    Somebody an idea? I hope I don´t bore you all- But I guess I´m going crazy with this machine

    just one more question:
    Is it usual that there is no battery on the FX27?
    I just installed one, I was wondering cause everybody is telling me to remove the battery- but there is nothinh to remove.
    So now I put in one- hope it is ok.

    I also always do have the failure 22 - memory parity
    Only when I left the second dip switch in on position the failure is gone. When I set the dip switch back ithe failure will appear immediatly.

    CHECK FX15 BOARD LED STATUS

    Dear Friend,

    You can check the LED status of the FX15 board on which one more add on board FX25 will be there.

    Yes the FX27 and the FX84 board will have batteries mounted.

    There will be one more board FX84-1

    If you have the Mazak original sheet check for the jumper settings on all the boards with respect to the sheet.

    If you open the CRT there will be some boards and mention the status of the LED.
