Advice needed for large format 45x90mm T-Slot build

    Hello all,

I'm looking to design and build a large format CNC router using 45x90mm T-Slot extrusions that will be used for light work (mostly MDF and softwood).

If possible I would like to have the size be at least 3x2 meters to be able to fit a full size MDF sheet.

I already own a WorkBee Z1+ that's 1500x1500mm, but I have in possession full length 6 meter long 45x90mm T-Slot extrusions, and would like to build something larger as space is not an issue.

For the linear motion I was thinking on using T5 20mm wide openloop belt.

My question is about the rail system. Can I get away with using Nylon wheels similar to the ones linked below or do I need a proper round rail shaft with linear bearings? I understand that the accuracy of such system is poor, but is it worth trying or it's a bust?

The T-Slot profile I have is attached below.

If anyone has references or experience with something similar please share.

    Thank you.
