    Threading on Haas TL1

I was using the IPS built in program on the Haas TL1 , it looks like it was feeding in an incorrect angle. What could be the issue? How do I fix this? TIA.

The Visual Prog didn’t show Any A value but it was feeding in an angle much larger than 30degrees , which made the thread has a much larger angle on the back side of the cut.

Do you have a picture of the IPS screen and settings and the code it produced?

Some controls require the total thread angle placed in the programming. Others may need the indeed angle ....

ie. for 60° thread try setting the angle to 30° (some use 29°, to allow the tool to cut a little on the infeed side). Angle is defined as perpendicular to the thread axis (...perpendicular to Z)
Note... some controls only allow the use of specific numbers (0, 29, 30, 60) check your manual.
