3 axis CAM: Z-level or Slice Question

When you bobcad experts out there (tobyaxis - that's you!) do 3-axis milling, do you use the Z-level roughing/finishing or "Slice" planar, spiral, radial?

I'm trying to understand the difference.

    Thanks!

I use what is needed for a given application. What are you trying to do??

Post a file if you can share it openly and we can offer suggestions.
