    Lightbulb Newbie reporting in...

I'm very interested in machining and have read up one a website about mini-lathes. Great information but not enough for me. I'd like to jump the gun and know more about CNC lathes or mill but I have no idea where to start.

The only thing I know about CNC lathes or mills are that they are computer controlled...

I tried googling but I got websites which shows books that you have to pay for... kinda hoping I don't have to. But I will if they are a necessity.

Are there any websites out there with comprehensive information on CNC lathes/mills?

    Any help is appreciated.

Smile Keep looking at this forum!

You find a good range here.
    Something new every day.
    Plenty of links appear.

Btw, did I post in the wrong forum?

Seems like this could have gone into the General Machining Discussion...

Take a look in the benchtop mill section. Lots of CNC conversions there. Most people put stepper motors on their mills/lathes, but some use servos instead.
