If you were to look for a used 4 axis cnc mill 1985-1995 which would be better for service, maintence and very accurate work? Deckel, Maho or Hermle?
Thank You

I am partial to Deckels.
I like the ease of servicability.
I have customers that hold less than .0002 repeatability with 20 year machines
no problems.
They cam interpolate better than .0004 TIR.
I have some customers that hold .00005 on a dialy basis in almost clean room conditions,
that are climate controlled +/ - 1 degree.
I retrofit updated Heidenhain controls onto Deckels.
See my post Heidenhains with Deckels currently have Fp3nc with 410 control for sale and FP2NC ith 410 for sale.
I have also started to import new Kunzmann Machines that are celebrating their 100 year aniversery this year. These machines are even built heavier than the machines you mentioned. These machines offer all the capabities of any universal but with new modern electronics.
Visit Kunzmann at http://www.kunzmann-fraesmaschinen.de/ and my site will soon be up www.kunzmannusa.com
I am now N American sales/service contact me at [email protected] .
If I can be of help please contact me.

Hi
I looked at the info on the deckel you do have. What is the footprint of the machine? How many amps would I need to run for that line?
Where can you get acessories for the deckels?
What is the asking price on a machine like this. http://www.kunzmann-fraesmaschinen.d...kte_wf650.html
What is the footprint this machine?
Thank You
Morning Cam,
Please check your email, I sent private email.
Also if you take a look at my post in the "classified adds" page 3 there is more info.
"Deckles for sale with Heidenhain 410 controls" I'M sorry I do not know how to give you that link!!
THe Kunzmann 650 you ask about has many options!
Programable Head -5 to +95 to make the machine 4 axis at 6500 rpm max!
Motor spindle is optional for max 12,000 rpm spindle.
Then you could add a rotory table to make the machine 5 axis!
Or you could add a trunion table in place of the 5th axis to make the machine 6 AXIS!
Can you please send me your private email address so I can send pricing.
I promise not to send SPAM or Junk to you.
Best Regards
DD
