    Incremental axis advancement

    Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my Taig mill with Mach 3 and Dolphin Cad/Cam. When I execute a code on the mill it will sometimes run x,y and z at a constant speed but I can load the same program later in the day and it will run the axis in incremental or stop start. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong in the drawing or what. Need help.

You may have a program running in background like updating the hard drive file index.

Check the Task Manager when the machine is not running correctly, for programs taking CPU time.

Mach3 requires a pristine system configuration.

With the USB CamPod and SuperCamXp the machine movement will not be affected by Windows background system calls.

Thank you very much for the info. I will take a look at the task manager.
