    X axis Fault

We have a Fadal VMC15 and are getting the following error at power up.

    X axis Fault
    Error #1
    Motor Overload

We switched the X and the Y amp card and get the same message. What should we try next?
Thanks for any help anyone can give us.

I took the X axis resolver and swapped it with the Z and the problem went away. Switch them back and the problem comes back. Any body have any ideas?

A new motor fixed the problem.

The VMC 15 has DC servo motors. You can replace the resolver with out replacing the motor. The error code #1 means no feed back signal from the resolver to the controller card.
