    Min Thread?

    Trying to determine what a print means! It says 1.25 of min. thread deapth does that mean full threads or just threads?

    To me it means a minimum of 1.25" of good thread meaning a plug gage should engage at least 1.25" into the threaded hole.

    It means you must have at least 1.25" of full thread; a bolt/plug gage 1.25 long should thread all the way in. It also means you can have more than 1.25" of thread.

    As wganders has said, it means you must have a minimum of 1.25" of full thread.
    How much more than that of corse will depend on weather or not you will encounter another feature in the path of the threaded hole that you may or may not break into.
