Yes I agree. You need a software for your PC and special cable to hook to the drive. You can also try to call (847)478-2100.

I have the SPJA & SPA transfer software, from when I converted a Spindle drive on a Mits Mazak Lathe from DC to the AC SPJA some time ago.
IIRC the software is DOS and only works on COM1 serial.
They use the current Micro-mini Din connector on the drive end.
