    morbidelli MAGNETIC dc servo

    hi,
we have a MAGNETIC dc servo motor that needs the bearings changed and i was wondering if there is any special care required when disassembling the case and changing the bearings ?

would really appreciate any advice !
    thanks mike

Some have reported megnetization loss when the armature is removed, as a precaution you could slide a cylindrical metal keeper to replace the armature while you change the bearings.
Most of the motors using rare earth magnets claim a keeper is not required, I have personally never experienced a problem in not using one.
The reports appear to be stepper motor based.
